I'd probably wanna taper the ends up quite high, I like that style of dread. ^_^
I will try to get a video done this week. And the higher you seal/taper them the more awesomely spikey they look. I'd love to see other peoples take on them. Mine just have a nice tight taper starting about an inch or so from the end. All depends on personal preference. :)

I have the clips (very similar ones), but I lack the glue and wefts. >_<
I forgot to mention that tuts can only be done if I have the materials LOLOLOL!

Chelseagirl used cheap human hair weft and glued it all around the edges of those clips.

Can you post up a picture of what the clips look like so I know to get the right kind?

I believe the ones in the tut are Goody brand. The ones I got were from a variety store.

So this is pretty old, but if you're still taking requests how about some spiral wrap tuts? :)

I can probably give it a try! I think I made one a while back, don't know where it is though.

Would be amazing! I love your tutorials, and for some reason I can't wrap my head around spirals. :]

okokokokok, this might have a tutorial somewhere but I don't know what its called so I can't find it. How do you make those dreads with like... thin, webby splashy type things? its like splashes but really thin and spread out so you can see the base color through it, and all... I dont know, I've seen a lot of them, a good example of what I'm talking about is the third set down here http://hairextensionsforum.com/viewtopi ... 82&t=10928 the dark blue with neon webbywrappysplashies. And a bunch more on that thread are like that too but thats the most basic example. Is this a trade secret or is it just so easy that no one makes a tutorial for it, or is there a tutorial but I just don't know what this techinique is called? Is it just messing around with splashes, maybe not rolling/tangling/felting the second color up first and just felting loose hair onto the dread? AHDUNNO! but that would be great to knowww.

I think that the blue hair was backcombed, then had thin bits of pink/neon yellow added to the dread, backcombed into the blue, then twisted. It's not a splash.
It could be a spiral wrap like mentioned above, but with different colours.

I am SO frustrated right now. *deep sigh*

Hiiii,

I was wondering if you could do a vid of double ended braids and twists, kinda like what twiggydevour Did in this kit I bought from her :)?

http://m.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid ... 1251109707

If you can that would be great! I would have posted it in the braid and twists section but no one really seems to go there much!:(

I can't see the pic, but I probably can try something...
I do those sorts of things differently... I make a single loop and do two legs.

To do twisty bits in DE's I've been using a latch hook to pull the hair through the middle of the dread, back combing, twisting and sealing one end at a time.....
It's pretty good for doing two different colours ;)

Id like to see more tutorials on natural styles, like knotty wrappy crochet twist and rip, or whatever else really, as well as different methods of doing them.
