This isn't my head, but these are the babies I've been taking care of for the last several months! I'm so lucky that I get to look at these beauties every single day :D

Day 1- backcombed & palmrolled
Image

1 Month- palmrolled with aloe a few times, nothing else...
Image

2 Months- He was going for the all natural neglect method but they started getting a little too wild and matted up in some spots and he had some large loops that needed to be taken care of so we decided it would be best to start crocheting them (now he wants me to do it all the time, haha)
Image
and a cute smiley pic :)
Image

7 Months- these have been crocheted about once a month
Image

8 Months- taken just a few days ago
Image
This is how he wears it up most of the time

I went to Manchester and had my hair done by Gracey! So here's a couple of taster pics - I'm going on holiday to Canada on Thursday, so I'll post some better pics when I get home. Also, excuse the crappy pics of me, 2 sleepless nights in a hotel and 8 hours of travelling do not make me very photogenic! These are natural dreads with extenders & transitional ends. I'm so completely happy with them, totally worth the travel and the 11 hours sitting in a chair! Thanks Gracey!!!

GodDAMN I am totes saving to go to Gracey to get my dreads extended o.o

I know what I want for my birthday now, money to save so I can get my hair done. lol.

Your dreads look absolutely fantastic Mindi.

My dreads are now 4 months old, but I'm having real issues with the back dreading up still. I'm not sure whether to admit defeat and either brush out the back and start again or just shave it off o.o
I'm in the process of combining some of my stupidly thin dreads into other ones, and I'm wearing synth to hide the loose hair at the back :(
I feel like my dread adventure is currently going really badly at present.

On the other hand, I dreaded my OH's hair a month ago and they're dreading up amazingly, he lost a lot of length when I dreaded it (he wanted thick, blunt dreads) and he's constantly fiddling with them no matter how much I tell him to leave them alone. He has flyaway hairs everywhere and looks like a bit of a birdsnest at the moment lol!

I'm rambling, I will have pics to show by next monday, I'm attempting to sort out the mess at the back of my head this weekend.

Nooooo! Don't give up and shave them off, you'll only end up regretting it! Save up and go see Gracey! I'm sure she'd be able to help you and sort them out for you! Honestly, that woman is amazing with a crochet hook! I'm already planning bi-annual (or annual, depends on money) trips to manchester for dreadfixes in the long term! I completely, totally regretted taking out my previous natural dreads, and finally feel like me again.

Oooh! Mindi I had such a great day with you. And, I have to say, rarely do people get their idea so absolutely bang-on as you did; it wasn't really like doing extensions, if that makes any sense, as they just suit you so damn much. After so long working on them over the past few weeks, I have felt strangely wistful about them all day. Like I'm missing them or something. Weird. I'm really chuffed you love them. And everyone else, of course.

Louie, I would help you with your locklets in a heartbeat.

Kaja, so lovely to see you back in your natural pink.
What, that? It's a spade.

Ooh, Anja, I like the cut.

Hi, I'm new here, though my account is very old. I've had my little dreadlets for ten months. They are very, um, wild lately, haha.

OOh, your dreadlets are lovely, Ms Fox.

A couple of shots of my hair from a few weeks ago, after an experiment with bendy rollers:

The colour is completely out, as always. I'm changing it soon to something that will hopefully photograph better.

Aw thanks girls.

Typically for me, I didn't like it when I did it but quite like it now I look at the pics. If I can work out a way of doing it without going through 36 hours of extreme discomfort, I may try it again.

I haven't posted in quite awhile but I must say all you ladies with your hairs are making me jealous! I want to have my very own dreadies more and more every day. Stupid societal rules and crap! (Also, the winter photos make me long for snow!)
