I wish that time would stand still,
if this was part of a film
we would watch the clip all day,
like a portrait of you and I...

Here's my dreadies, about 7 months old. In August, I handmade a set of dread extenders that my sister sewed in for me because I didn't like how sort my naturals are :D

my dreads have gone through so much lately some of my extensions fell off, some stayed i think i have changed colour way too many times and they have shrunk a heap even though my hair is growing really quickly... i dreaded my fringe and then undreaded it about two days ago. i've extended two longer ones and now i think i may finally be happy with them!

I got my dreads done by my boyfriend in august some time (so these babies are only like.. two ish months old). They are extended, you guys can probably tell lol. Anyways my dreads who I love:

p.s. yes I do have a camera in my computer and that is why I'm in the same place for all of them.

A picture taken over the summer by my Dad and tweaked a little. I'm not sure what he did but I sure wish I had the tooth-whitening tool in my bathroom!! ;)

Well, here's my new babies. I started on 29th Nov and finished up on Dec 3rd. These are from the first day and they're not great because it's impossible to photograph the back of your head! I don't actually have a bald spot, I just have weird very light strawberry blonde roots that reflect light and a double crown that's making the one at the top loop upwards in a peculiar way. Once I've dyed my roots it won't be noticeable, but I didn't know if dying the roots before dreading would impede the knotting, so I decided to wait til next weekend. All the handling from dreading made them really greasy, so I washed them yesterday and it's helped tighten them up a bit.

A kind of 'from the top and back' angle
Image

A view of the front and ends (plus ringlet ends lol). The back ones are about 3 inches longer.

Looking forward to get some better pics when I can find someone to take them for me.

On Nov. 9th I started my dreads and Im darn glad that I did. I like way more than dread extensions and I fall asleep faster too.. extensions are a pain to sleep on! :( ANYWAYS! All I did was backcomb, palmroll, i do root rubbing every day or so, I spray lemon juice and water in them, and attempt to crochet.. which does not work well for me. but things are going well! I also extended them, added afew natural looking synth and other nik nacs. Im so proud of my lovely locks! :D All of the pictures are very recent, and I've added a couple do's that I did one night due to boredom.

I tried some victory rolls.. they were difficult and i ended up looking like the darker dreaded side of Flocks of Seagulls. Or something even crazier .. HAHAHA

Image
Then I rolled myself a nice little pomp and threw in a pony.. all dressed up and no place to go. hohumpigsbum!

Thanks to everyone who gave me great advice and all the encouragement to start my new dreads! I love them!! :D Oh! and sorry if the pix come alittle huge. Technology and I arnt the best of friends sadly.
