The flickr user Wisely-chosen has a little tutorial on how she keeps her rainbow hair from bleeding together when she dyes it. You can see it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wisely-chosen/3838719828/

From step one if you want the best results..
1 You will want to wash your hair with a deep clenser. If you swim a lot or on medication of any kind, you will want to use a clarifying shampoo. Do not condition as this will make the color not hold as well.

2 Lighten your hair usinging 20 vol at your roots and 30 vol everywhere else if needed. Bleach with 40 vol is not meant for on the scalp application. Plus the heat from your scalp will accelerate the lightening process. Also you do not need to try to get your hair white. And when you touch up your color only lighten the roots because the more you put bleach on your hair the more its damaging it and eating though it causing color not to hold as well.

3 Rinse your hair wash with any kind of shampoo, do not condition.

4 Part your hair in sections where the color will be. To keep from bleeding, you will want to make sure none of the sections are touching. You can clip you hair or use foil. Also you can go over the color with a flat iron to prolong the life. If you do this don't get close to the scalp because it will burn from the heat. Also you might hear a sizzle, this is normal.

5 Try to rinse each section seperately. If you can not scuccessfuly do this, take the plunge and do it all together with cold water.

6 (optional but will help) You could get a clear gloss of some sort to put over your hair. You will want to do this on dry hair. I found this from sally's http://www.sallybeauty.com/haircolor/SB ... lt,pd.html

7 Rinse out and condition. Leave the conditioner in for 5 - 10 minutes.

For after care I would use Manic Panics High Voltage Shampoo (orange-red) http://ikickshins.net/dye.php for the reds and pinks. For the blues I would use either this http://www.sallybeauty.com/shiny-silver ... =Hair01-05 or this http://www.sallybeauty.com/blonde-shamp ... =Hair01-05 You can use any kind of platnium blonde/silver shampoo that is blue. You don't have to use these shampoo's but I reccomend it once or twice a week. However you should use color care shampoo and conditioner suited for daily use. I would reccomend brands that also have a color line. Hope I helped.

Some other tips: Use a lotion around your hairline to prevent staining, don't forget your ears! Also use cool/cold water anytime you need to get your hair wet. When taking a shower, I would suggest getting a towel that is ok if it get hair dye on it and use it only for your hair.
