Making the Top of a Wig? Closure?
Hi everybody! I'm trying to learn to make wigs from scratch but there's just one part that haunts me... The top! I'm totally ok with the hair up to about an inch above eyebrow level (of course I am, there's nothing to it but sewing wefts to a wig cap), but after that, I get nervous about hiding the wefts. Can anybody explain or point me to tutorials that explain how to attach wefts to the top part of a wig so that they're hidden? I know how to make a closure (like rolling a piece of weft) but I can't get it quite right. Is there another method or should I just keep working at it?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Wow thanks so much! So I guess you just spiral the weft... I can't believe I didn't think of that, haha! I'm so excited to try this out <3 Thank you!

Yup, just keep making a circle with the weft until you can't lay any more. Definitely suggest using a tail comb to get that last bit in place. To hide the track, you can just style the hair over it.

How do you mean use a tail comb to get it in place?

As the 'circle' of weft gets smaller, I've found the tip of the comb helps set the track in place b/c my fingers are too big.

Oh I understand, thanks! I guess I just need to dive in and get hands on.

Practice is definitely the key. And you can always lay the track down prior to gluing to see if the hair will fall the way you want it to.
