I have this event coming up and i wanted to take a stab at felting my own dreads to make a replica wig.

I noticed that her dreads look really loose, barely look felted. To get this fluff, would i just felt the wool and not really roll it n let it hang dry.

some of them don't look felted at all. i think if you were wanting something like that, you would need to avoid getting the wool completely soaking like you normaly would for felting and i think i would actually hang them off something so that i could roll them between my hands without too much pressure. you could try it by just spritzing the wool with water and wetting your hands

Would i still need to use the high PH water formula when i sprtiz it?

nah i wouldn't bother. just use warm water. the more i look at the pic the more i'm pretty sure most of it hasn't been felted

You can still get it large when you felt.
(see princessofpoi viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1574
and fragglelox http://www.fragglelox.com/ )

The advantage to felting is, it'll be more durable, and it won't shed wool fibers on your clothes.

They look just like flumps!
Awsome.

And I love asian girls with big black eye makeup.
Cute.

But what I'm wondering, seeing as they're not felted.. if they were installed wouldn't they felt together?

Perhaps felt it in water that is not so hot. I notice how much looser they get when it is cooling down. The pictures are amazing, hope you post how yours turn out. ;)
