First wearable set lots'o pix

Post by Aricyn » Thu Sep 09, 2010 4:02 am

Okay so heres my first set (technically second my first ever dreads where wore by my daughter for her book week costume) so these i made for me.. im basically trying to wear them as much as i can to as many places i usually go to see how i feel wearing them b4 i decide if i will get an actual install done (would hate to go through hours of install only to have a melt down and take them out a few days later because i felt weird wearing them to places like the school to pick my daughter up ect..) anyway thats so another story !!

so heres some pics i took b4 i made them into falls they are a bit weird cuz i suck at using my DSLR

they are holding up okay so far, but to be honest im considering getting my next set made by someone a bit more experienced..

thanks! i was a bit worried if i didnt back comb enough as they where massive fuzz untill i started twisting.. maybe im a bit OT with the tight twists cuz that seemed to straighten them out alot haha.. they did the "erection test" tho haha..
some are starting to soften out quite a bit which worries me i hope they dont unravel!!

Dreads always soften up a bit with wear, and a big poofball usually means it's super backcombed!! Since I started doing naturals, it's kind of second nature to palmroll the hair I backcomb even if I'm making twisted dreads, and I think it's helped with the frizzies a bit, That, and pushing them down and inside with your thumb while twisting. ;)

You did an awesome job! I agree with what some other people were saying, I think you should stick with it because you seem to be a natural. Keep at it! This set looks very well done.
