anyone on here wear them... well thats a stupid question. i guess what i'm trying to ask is if you wear them, do you put them on yourself or have someone else tie them for you. one of my best friends always come to me or the place where she bought it from [they dont mind, they love us] so them to put it on her. can someone post a tutorial or a step byt step explanation on how to wear cinchers and corsets. i'm double jointed in my shoulders so i can put one on myself but its hard to explain to her. so can someone help me out?? thanks!!! _________________ ~DA page

I've never even had a real corset.
I have one that is too big for me...i cant really lace
it up and when ever i move i can feel the bones in the
corset and it really made me feel more fat than i was...
But other than that i love corsets !
I'm planning on buying a REAL one soon (maybe) _________________ Death is just a heartbeat away. |

I never have any problem getting one on by myself. I can't do a tutorial cuz I don't have my corset on me this week, but it is definately do-able. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/x_Lorn_x |

I have one that laces up the back and zips up the front. It's a really heavy duty leather and steel number. I just zip it up the front and then reach around to the strings in the back and tug tug tug until it's nice and super tight! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/medusalox

For like a year I insisted I couldn't fo it by myself but it does jsut take pratice. Try using a mirror, or a set of mirrors so you can see what's going on back there lol. In the end you don't need the mirrors either! |

I can usually get a corset on by myself, but when I go out I sometimes get friends to tighten it.
But you know, I really wish I could get into a corset as small as the girl on youtube!!!!!!! _________________ Can't you just give me one chance to prove that money wont make me happy?

I wear corsets, i have a cincher but as i am big buster i prefer the extra support!
I can lace myself in, if i have too. Usually my boyfriend laces me in with me bent over the bed (wahey!)
Best way ive found is for someone else to do it with you bent over
and remember, when wearing leather, lace loose, wear for 45 minutes then tighten to allow the leather to warm to your body temperature. Lacing tight when its cold can damage it

i know you can get cheaper but I find vollers the best most hard wearing and well made corsets I've ever had. It's better to find a stockist and they can show you which styles and shapes will accentuate your natural shape better. I have larger hips than bust and wear '1890' styles that are straight at the top rather than sweetheart etc. |

that reminded me.
do not buy a corset because its cheap.
dont.
your better off to spend $400 on a corset custom made for you (if your going to be tightlacing or wearing it very often) and not risk getting hurt than spending $60 on one at a sex shop >_>;;; corsets, (real ones at least) can be dangerous if they arent the right type for you, i know from experience. ive hurt my muscles and ribs numerous times because no one told me that you should make sure your corset suits your body and not just your tastes _________________

yeah thats what someone told me also. the corsets that jaded ran for the bulk orders are the same ones they sell at the sex boutique near my mothers house, except there they cost about 100-200 dollars and the ones on the site jaded said ran from like 20-40 bucks. but i mean they are the exact same thing. so how could we really know whats cheaply made and what isnt unless we are there to actually feel it and try it on. that's what suck s about buying online!. lol... i wish there was like a virtual mall that you can hook your brain up to a machine. lol!! _________________ ~DA page

I think having them custom made helps, cuz you don't need to make the ) ( shape in it. The material is already shaped like that, so it means you only need to make a | | shape in it, thus making it easier to put on. I spent £100 on a Freyagushi corset and I absolutely adore it. Sucks in 6 inches. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/x_Lorn_x |

I've seen ALOT of bad service problems with Meschantes. Especially wrong colours and wrong sizes with custom jobs. I bought an OTR (off the rack) off their ebay store 2 years ago and I didn't have any problems, but most of the issues I've seen from Mes. is over the past year. It seems that if there is a screw up, don't expect anything to get done since they're impossible to get ahold of.
What Gutterface is very very true! Custom corsets will cost an arm and a leg. If you measured yourself correctly, and are purchasing from a legitimate corsetier, it'll last longer than you will. There's 100 yr old corsets still around, for a reason. Steel boning, the quality of the fabric, and the seamstress are the three main things to look for when buying one. You definately get what you pay for!
I bought one corset from what looked like a really good corsetier, but once I got the corset itself, it hurt so bad to wear! I was going to use it to tightlace regularly, but the bones were cut too short and it bunched up the fabric really bad and caused alot of friction. When you're tightlacing, it's of the devil and burns! I can't remember her name off the top of my head, but her internet name has 'Moon' in it, I think. It looks horrible when worn, lots of 'spilling' out. I hate it.
I have one from http://www.morganafemmecouture.com/ and I love it to death. It was bought about 3 years ago before they increased their prices, but it's a fabulous corset. I would still buy from them again once I saved up for it. I can tightlace an amazing figure in it.
I bought my first one 3 or 4 years ago, and I need to get rid of it soon since it doesn't fit me any more. It does have a zipper in front instead of a busk, which don't work too well with me since zippers (I think) aren't as good as busks as far as durability. It's just a 'vanity' corset that still looks good reguardless though. I didn't pay alot for it, but it does have steel boning in it anyway.
I forgot to add: I put all of mine on by myself. My mom thinks corsets are really stupid, so I hide them all from her lol. |
