Inch and a half, client over-estimated his hair length. I wanted to murder him. I wouldn't recommend even trying on anything less than two inches.

I know this is a really old posting but i thought i'd take a chance on someone still reading it. Rae did you actually do the braids on the 1 1/2 inch long hair? and how on earth did you keep them from slipping?

I used to do braids for someone whose hair was around 2 inches and he was balding so it was really thin. The only way I could get them to stay in was to rubberband them at the base. _________________ For every sprinkle I find, I shall kill you. |

I've had success using 5mm microrings to section hair and then using a latch hook to pull the extension hair through between the microring and the scalp. This works extremely well to prevent slippage. It is still very difficult to braid such short hair and "pokies" tend to be a problem, but at least the extension hair won't slip off the natural hair. _________________ To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom.
