Ive never used linkies before - but I was wondering. Think it would be possible to do an install using micro links and rexlace? You could probably only do one strand per ring. But what do you think?

I imagine it would hold okay, but the weight might be an issue for the sections of your real hair that the rings are attached to.

It would probably be alright because the inside of the microlinks are threaded so it should hold. Are you thinking about doing a whole head or just a bit?

I was just thinking about doing a little bit, and in lengths no longer than shoulder length. I think I shall maybe give this a go!

I think it's a great idea! It shouldn't be too heavy if you aren't doing the whole head.....then again, I have had 3 full spools of rexlace stuck on my head before and didn't think it was too heavy.

Anyways, be sure to let me know how it goes....I'd love to see pictures!

Okay! So Ive managed to install some human hair, some rexlace, and crin! Yes crin! Full sized crin. It fits through the linkie and I was able to put it in! So happy! But I took one linkie out (I didnt like its placement)... maybe this is what I get for being cheap and only spending $15 on ebay for pliers, a needle, and 150 linkies... but the linkie wouldnt uncrimp (then again I couldnt really see it), and when I finally got it out it was mangled and took most of that chunk of hair with it.

These ones I got arent threaded on the inside. And the pliers... really are just pliers I believe. Hrm. Maybe I shall have to splurge on the $36 ones Sallys sells when I want to take these out...

I find that it's really hard to take them out by yourself because they are so fiddly and small, unless they are right in the front where you can reach easily. Maybe that's what happened?

Do you have pics yet???

for taking them out it's a good idea to invest in a tool that has the circular opening so that it open back out into a circular shape and you avoid the problem of it opening a bit on one side but not completely or mangling it so much that you do end up pulling a chunk of hair with it.

i can't wait to see pics!
