I tried using that type of material before. I drilled a hole thru the plastic on one end and slid a rubberband thru it, then looped that over my piece of lace with the other materials i was using.
To be honest though, I wasn't pleased with the result. they didnt lay very well and were awfully heavy _________________ www.libertinasrevamp.com

I was actually going to buy some of that to try. I just didn't care for that translucent colour. I'm glad someone else tried it too! |

I've used it sparingly and it's pretty good but will be a bit lumpy where you tie it. I tie it on tightly with some rexlacing. _________________ || CTM Design Hair ||

You could sew it onto the fall ribbon or what ever your using
just put 2 little holes in it and sew it tight |

I've found it can also look cute if you wrap it around a dread _________________ ++ http://anthophyta.livejournal.com ++ Flower shaped foam hair accessories ++ |

I untwist it a bit where its going over the elastic (so it lies a little flatter) and then use a cable tie to hold it in place. Even with the square part at the end of the cable tie its still less bulky than knotting, and its more durable than rubberbands. _________________ For every sprinkle I find, I shall kill you. |
