|
|
I know a fake fringe is possible, but with those, the nature of it hides the 'join' at the hairline in front. I've been considering whether a fake rockabilly-esque quiff would be possible. A really good one
Has anyone ever tried this?
I'm thinking that if I can get the actual hairpiece construcyed okay, I could try attaching it with combs/wig clips, then brushing my own fringe (just long enough to get in a quiff, but not a very impressive one, & requires much hairspray) up & back over it, to hide the base of it.
So far as the piece itself goes, I have in the past tried making it with sections of weft, stitched together for thickness, then curled round, like you'd do it on your own head. But the issue there is there's nothing to keep the ends in place properly.
I have a vague idea in my mind of using two sections of weft, backcombed together in the centre so that there's a piece of weave at both ends, & securing the woven edges together. It's just getting the shape right, & getting it to hold shape.
Does this make sense? Any other thoughts & ideas would be gratefully received! _________________ www.ameliagriffiths.co.uk

Ohh . In the States we call those pomps (as in pompadour) NOW I get what you're saying!
I think what your saying makes sense. I would use a ratt inside the 'structure' of hair, and it would leave more hair free to be combed over - basically a sub for backcombing. --- if that makes sense. |
