I saw this post last night, and was brainstorming over it, but unfortunately, I don't have any experience with mohawks other than admiring some friends that have them.

You could always pull your hair back into one bun in the back and wear one big fall likem a ponytail. Or, you could have materiels braided in?

Here is a myspace profile for an aquaintance of mine who has a bihawk and wears falls at times. Her's is much longer than yours, but perhaps it will provide some inspiration?

I'm sorry I am not much help:

How about this idea ....

I guess it depends on wether you want sticky-up or a flat installation

ive had a lot of sucess adding stuff to hawks by conrowing it flat to the head and then poking stuff through and securing with elastic band. Strips of foam and cable ties work really well as do short thick chunky dreads

Might be a stupid idea but you could make a row of mini buns and have a few mini falls mounted on hair ties. I'm sure if you made the falls short enough so they stick up and had then close together, it would look ok. And you could braid in a few bits of rexlace here and there to your hair to help it blend.

It's not quite finished yet but most of the basics are there.

http://www.doctoredlocks.com/store/demo/cornrows_p1/frames.htm Heres a great tut for cornrows, i just do one big one, it doesnt even have to be particularly neat at all cause most of it will be covered
theres a couple of posts on the show off section on here, i found one
http://www.extra-muffins.com/hair/viewtopic.php?t=3726&highlight=cable+ties but ive used all sorts, pipe cleaners and fish tank tubing being a favourite, ive recently been filling clear tubing with coloured water and sealing the ends up and we're going to have an experiment lol
