Im having a bit of trouble downloading the Tatum Ribbon catalogue for crin - it requires you to download some crappy pdf software (as if I dont already have 100 of the things!) and even though i've used IE instead of Firefox and turned off the popup blocker I cant get the damn thing to work
Does anyone have a copy they could email me please?? Or any tips for how to get it to work - the page just keeps refreshing and going back to the tatum page so I cant even try to figure it out in such a short time.... grr!!

It seems to me that this catalogue is in a special file format - .opf rather than .pdf, which would be readable by Adobe Acrobat Reader or by other OpenSource programs like OpenOffice Draw, and can only be read by this program, a lot like Photoshop files can only be opened by Photoshop. I think you'll probably have to download that FlipViewer program to view it, as after looking at the file extension information online it came up with this:
Quote: | .OPF File Extension
File Type FlipAlbum
Category Image Files
Common? No
File Description Album of photos stored in E-Book Systems' proprietary FlipAlbum format; includes image thumbnails, photo borders, and 3D page-flipping effects |
I managed to download the program after going to the official site through Googling "FlipViewer". Only then could I open the catalogue using the http://tatumribbon.com/SwissStretchy2.opf url. Other than that, I don't know of any programs that would open that file. Sorry chick. _________________ 00111100 00110011 |

Just a quick note - the catalogue is obviously the property of the company, and they might get a little bit cheesed off if they find you've been tampering with their files and redistributing it. I might just be getting a little too serious but I thought I might mention it anyway. I'm glad you can look at the catalogue now though, despite faffing about with strange software. I think they just chose it because it allows an interactive contents page to help "flip" to the right picture. As far I know normal .pdf files don't have that. And if anyone wants to know more about the glorious world of eBooks and eBook software, I'd be glad to help, as I do volunteering work as a proofreader for a massive eBook database and love to have a good old natter about paper-preserving technology/share advice, hah! _________________ 00111100 00110011 |

Lolness, I gave up in the end trying to convert it - when I realised the prices weren't even on there and thats all I wanted to know!! They are actually on a .pdf on their navigation, grr!!!
But yeah, I did think about copyright issues, at the time I was just annoyed cos I have: a legal copy of adobe reader, which i've already had to replace as default with foxit reader cos adobe kept killing firefox - and now i've got yet another one! Tinternet is silly, I cant even read the tatum website unless I use IE!
Sometimes its just too much like hard work And cool about your job!! Feel free to put in a good word for me, im dying to get out of supermarket work

If you still want it, I have an email with all the colours and stuff attached seperately. I was having the same problem so I emailed the owner and he sent me it. I can forward you it if you still need it |
