I was SUPPOSED to have a spiral perm today. I know what they looks like, I have had them before and I know my hair can take it.

What I appear to have is a loose wave. Due to the stylist using bendy rollers like normal roller and not rolling on the correct way.

Now, I am seeing the manager tomorrow and I haven't paid- I jsut wonder if anyone on here with actual advice re permed hair can help me.

Can it be re permed the correct way? The stylist mentioned re perming 'bits' that weren't curly, but the whole head is stupid 80s wave and pretty darn loose at that.

I odn't need advice re waht to do about the salon- i won't be paying Full Stop.

But anyone have a clue about freshly permed hair and re perming?

Thanks

someone correct me here...but can't you wash it and have it fall out?

something about not washing permed hair for a certain amount of time or the solution will fail and the perm will fall out?

if you need proof of the bad perm, take photos or go in and let them have a look right away?

sorry to hear, bad perm stories always horrify me

I think I remember being told not to wash for a couple days after getting a perm due to possibly losing the curl. At least that couldn't hurt right?

I was wondering that- I am seeing the manager tomorrow and will see whatt he says- but maybe it has already done the damage even if I wash it out? i was told to leave it for 48 hours.

I desperately want it re done by them into a proper spiral perm.

I know I should have gone with my gut instinct and asked her why she wasn't winding correctly!

I let my sister do a spiral perm on me for her hairdresser training - it came out all frizzy making me look like a bright ginger Brain May (it also leeched all my hair dye out waaa!) Shocked

I ran straight home and washed it about 4 times, then repeated that the day after, took the perm out eventually, and I don't remember my hair being too stuffed... I did cut off a bit of the ends, but to be fair they were already screwed from over dying...
