oh! How culd I forget Audrey! I love her work - I wanted to look at her stuff for fine art last year but my tutor said she was too illustrative or something..? I dunno, I don't get all this fine art snobbery stuff.

Helmet girl is good too, I'm finding some good artists I've not heard of before - this is a brilliant thread

That Julie Rap pic, of the feet, is such a cool idea

Frida Kahlo. My favourite artist of all time. Mostly because she was a bit mad.

Froud. Gotta love the pressed faerie book. Also his son played Toby in The Labrynth.

I was so upset. She had a recent exhibit at the Philadelphia Art Museum, and I just kept putting off going, to the point I just forgot about it and missed it altogether.

Lots of great artists have already been mentioned, but I have to say I am in love with Victoria Frances' work - she's a Spanish illustrator who has done some amazing gothic artwork that has been reproduced all over the world. I love anything that has a pre-raphaelite feel to it

First off Patrick Woodroffe.. He is an amazing artist to appreciate his work fulley you would have to look through his books. I can't understand why he isn't more known. I love him

PATRICK WOODROFFE! YES! My dad gave me Tinker the Hole Eating Duck and Halleleujah Anyway when I was a wee one and I still adore them! I can stare at those pictures for hours and still find so much in them!

Nthing Mucha, Giger and Belkinski love. And I was beaten to Linda Bergkvist!

I'm trying to remember some of my other favourites but for the most part I was beaten to the punch!
