|
|
Ok I'm a plus size girl and lookin' for knee high boots (or even something not so high up). I get angry when I find the boots that look PERFECT and my feet fit perfectly... then BAM I realize my huge calves don't fit . Anyone have any suggestion on where I can find boots that fit my massive calves lol ? I would really appreciate it. Thanks! |

i have very wide calves too. 90 percent of the boots out there dont fit.
i have to go with ones that have both a zip up the side AND lace. they make them, but they can be a bit few and far between. i think the last boots i found to fit are NANA brand??? somthing like that.
i feel you pain! _________________ www.libertinasrevamp.com

Demonia has a good selection of boots that zip and lace or buckle. I wear the Torment 716 and the Torment's that have the buckles & plates up the front (can't remember the name of them right now). They are easily found on ebay. _________________ Invader blood marches through my veins like, RADIOACTIVE RUBER PANTS! The pants command me! Do not ignore my veins! |

My mary janes are fab as well, i know they arent boots but i have wide feet. I ordered one size up and they fit PURFECTLY! |

Yeah, this is old, but New Rock do fat calf sizes. Mine are huge from years of wearing massive boots. I only know this cuz the New Rock shop in Camden does them.
Not much help to people out of England, but that was my bit. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/x_Lorn_x |

Hehe I was gonna say New Rocks cater for fatleg syndrome as well And if you get second hand, they're tons cheaper and the leather is already softened so no wearing in to mould them to said fatlegs! well if you don't want them to be platform or anything. Field boots for horseback riding - they come in different calf sizes and you can find some for really good prices. You could probably go to a cobbler to affix a different sole on them as well.
Also a riding tip, it sounds contrary, but GET THEM WET. If you have high quality leather boots, get them wet in the shower, then walk around in them, they will stretch to fit your calf and fit perfectly. |

I have the exact opposite problem. My feet are size 7/8 and aaaaaall 7/8 boots have big calves. Why do they assume people with big feet must have big calves!? |

probably the same reason lingerie manufacturers assume that if you have a large cup size you must be big around the back and need 3+ hooks and fat arsed straps for bras as well _________________ Every electronic word I read fries my brain a little more....eventually you will all be able to understand me.... |

I have size 11 feet and slim calves (despite the rest of me being fat) and I have the worst trouble finding boots that dont have a hands width space down the back. Even laced as tight as they go on most boots. Stupid boot makers. |

I have a problem with the calf thing too - years of running, dancing and cycling have made my legs very muscly and I find it hard to fit into most boots. I really want a pair of transmuters or something similar but I'm too frightened that they won't fit my legs Grr _________________ Claire Calavera = Knotty but nice!

I totally get you! I have big calves and it's always been hell trying to find ones that fit *and* that are vegan! I found some on ebay a couple of months ago and they are mega stretchy. I think if you check ebay from time to time someone is bound to be selling some. I know that's not very helpful _________________ *devil*dolly*dreads* |

off topic but i completely agree. i especially hate when you go bra and pantie shopping. i have a big cup size and when i find a matching bra and pantie set the panties look like parachutes because they go with the large cup size. ughhhhhhh i hate hate hate that. so i just swap them out with a smaller size because i have a slimmer waist and large breasts. the sles associates either dont know or dont care!! lol _________________ ~DA page

I have noticed that demonia boots with buckles aren't as adjustable as they look. If you have bigger calves, I definitely wouldn't suggest getting them. Both my friend and I had problems with that. |

Most boots are like that when it comes to buckles. One man offered to make extra holes in the buckle, but that would mean I'd have leg showing between the tongue and the boot bit. A fashion faux-pas just waiting to happen... _________________ http://www.myspace.com/x_Lorn_x |

New rocks all the way! defo! i have HUUUUUGE calves and they fit me nicely no overhang or anything!
you have to be careful with demonia imo, as i have bought a few pairs, which (i know have side zips with no additional help) are pretty tight, i even had to sell a lush pair on ebay becuase of this!
you really have to be careful _________________ rarrr |

i think most places if you ask, have wide sizes. macys for example, they dont really have all their wide sizes out, you have to ask if they can go out back and get you a wide, i did that with most of the boots i bought from them, but i always go when they have sales or i use cpons that they send my mom for having a macy's card ... but i really love their fauz lether knee high boots, they are sooooo stretchy and the top is always snug under my knee and never slips!!! _________________ ~DA page

I have wide calves as well (I do hate them too!) and I have a pair of knee high boots. They zip up on the side but you can also adjust them by the lacing. Maybe if you can find some like that they would fit you better? |
